Taking Time-Out?

Taking a time-out can be beneficial for both your physical and mental health. It is important for everyone, regardless of age, occupation, or social status. If you're feeling stressed, overwhelmed, or unhappy, taking time out can be a great way to improve your well-being. There are many different ways to take time out, so find something that works for you and make it a regular part of your life.

Here are a few ideas for how to take time out:

  • Read a book

  • Take a bath

  • Go for a walk

  • Listen to music

  • Meditate

  • Spend time in nature

  • Do something creative

  • Spend time with loved ones or even better...

  • Do nothing at all! Absolutely NOTHING!

The most important thing is to find something that you enjoy and that helps you to relax and de-stress.

This is something that I and my squad will be doing over the weekend! I know, I do not speak a lot about my family but I think it's time I said a few. So, here goes...

About Me

To begin with I live in sunny Richards Bay, South Africa. I do my coaching business from home. I'm a mother of two amazing boys. My eldest who is 9 years, is in Primary School and is mad about Math ( I wonder where he inherited that? maybe his grandfather mmm). My youngest is only 4 years, he is in Grade RR ( that's Pre-School level)

Those two are the total opposite of each other and each day I have to accommodate two different and lively personalities, so days are not the same. Our daily lives are crazy, being able to juggle both a work schedule and school homework sometimes does get to be a lot. This is why every now and then we just take off and go outside the city for some quiet. Relax and do nothing.

At the end of the day, we all need to take a time-out

You also need to:

  • Make time for yourself: Schedule time for yourself in your calendar just like you would any other appointment.

  • Find a quiet place: Find a place where you can relax and be undisturbed.

  • Do something you enjoy: Do something that you find relaxing and enjoyable.

  • Don't feel guilty: This point might sound a bit selfish to some, but, Don't ever feel guilty about taking time for yourself. You cannot pour out of a cup that is empty. It's important to take care of yourself so that you can be your best self for others.

If you're feeling overwhelmed, or unhappy, taking time out can be a great way to improve your well-being. There are many different ways to take time for yourself, so find something that works for you and make it a regular part of your life.
